Beckoning of the Wangan pt. 1

Wangan
It felt as I had just woken up in the bawls of chaos. Tickets were flying out of the machine faster than they could be sent out, Servers were running round screaming at each other frantically trying to take car of their tables, the expediters hands shook like that of an alcoholic before his first taste of the sweet nectar that will slowly become his demise. Now I know for a fact that he had never had a drink in his life, he was caving under the stress. The cooks, myself included, were doing everything in our power to keep pace and remain collected as best we could, for we know this is inevitable. Tis the Season after all, and we are close to the heart of Shibuya as well as an Italian house, a rarity in these parts.
I am a humble line cook by the day, however unlike the others of the profession drink, food, and various drugs are not the vices for this one. it is the Wangan. I recently purchased a Nissan 300zx Twin turbo, a sports car of almost supernatural power and speed. For the last month whenever my shift ends I spend the late hours of the night and on into the morning molding the dream into this car. Power of the gods, a chassis designed to run up to 330kph and beyond, a body with aerodynamics worthy of the legendary Blackbird, a suspension and wheel set up that moves with indescribable grace. All this to take on the legendary Shutokou. the bravest of the runners, and the legendary Wangan line itself. The final utopia for runners of the night.
when the chaos subsided I broke my station down and departed, for I have a race to attend in Supra. The opponent is a Nissan Skyline GTR, a car of legendary status in all forms of racing, though it is especially well known in this area. I'd been asked many a time why I opted for the Z over the GTR that is so commonly chosen for its amazing performance on these roads. My reasoning i simple, I believe in traditional rear wheel drive and driving skills over that of a seemingly all knowing video game like four wheel drive. Also Z has a presence that resonates with this one like no other can.
I can see the warehouse up ahead, the place where my beloved Z rests. As the door cracks open I can see the pearl white paint glistening under the shreds of light slowly entering the doorway. With a roar the brutish twin turbo fires to life. oil pressure ok, water temp ok, vaccum pressure ok, voltage ok, idle firmly at 900rpms. Final checks all good.
The Wangan beckons.
A few runs of the C1 loop, Yokohane, and than Wangan....I will defeat him tonight.
